Consistent with its strategy of progressive strengthening of its sales and service network through the appointment of structured distributors, CVS FERRARI has entered into a long-term agreement with Windsor Materials Handling, through which the latter has become CVS’s official dealer for the United Kingdom starting from June 2024.
Windsor was founded on service in 1976. The Windsor name has been synonymous with materials handling and access systems for over 45 years, providing a first-class range of forklift truck and access platform hire, sales, and maintenance services. Over this period, Windsor has grown into the largest independently owned materials handling company in the UK. Yet, the company remains family-owned and operated to this day, with this family ownership ensuring longevity, integrity, and flexibility for its customers – something rare in the current age. This corporate DNA has enabled Windsor to offer the professionalism and financial security of a large corporation but, at the same time, is not constrained by rigid management structures and decision-making processes.
A distinguishing element of Windsor’s offering is the personal levels of service they provide to their customers. Windsor dedicates engineers to its customers so that they quickly develop a greater understanding of the users’ requirements, habits, equipment fleet, as well as worksite structure, organization and safety procedures. This approach also gives the customer’s dedicated engineer full knowledge of the equipment history and any prior faults, ensuring they can troubleshoot quickly and efficiently.
Windsor currently employs 238 individuals, of which 117 are service engineers, and has a relatively short management structure. The business continues to grow yearly, with geographical expansion being a continued aspiration. The addition of CVS FERRARI’s product portfolio that includes modern, energy-saving, conventionally powered Reach Stackers and Heavy Duty Forklifts with capacities starting from 20 tons and up to 48 Tons, along with revolutionary innovative and energy regenerative, diesel-electric-hybrid and even full-electric empty container handlers, will give Windsor a state-of-the-art competitive product line at the high side of their very complete offering.
CVS FERRARI has recently become part of the TAYLOR Group of Companies. In February 2024, Taylor acquired the majority of the company shares in a move that is bound to boost the already remarkable growth performed in the last few years and considerably accelerate the brand’s expansion in new markets and product segments. Robert Taylor, President and COO of The Taylor Group of Companies, remarked, “We are excited about a great future with Windsor and the continuing expansion of our CVS family.”
