Fratelli Abagnale is a leading company in the manufacturing of concrete tubs of various formats that reach up to the size of 40 foot containers. This company, located in the Naples south west inland region, has seen its success grow strong in the last years and with it has come the need to substantially increase, simplify and make safer the handling and yard storage of its products. So came the idea of modifying the handling of the tubs from top to bottom and to do it with a loading and carrying equipment, also capable of negotiating sharp driveway restrictions and last but not least to do it without the need of any ground help. Furthermore the selected equipment would have to be able to handle from the bottom, tubs with standard 2.2 meters with but with lengths ranging from 3 to 12 meters. Difficult task if not impossible? Not for CVS Ferrari that together with a third party special attachments manufacturing company developed and delivered a unique reach stacker that under a spreader is hosting a frame with two pairs of legs that can position at any distance between themselves to handle any size of tub. The two rear legs can also lift and lower completely to efficiently and safely approach and then handle the tubs. Cameras inbuilt in the forked feet of the attachment, geofenced restriction of the boom height and systems to automatically identify and track the location in the yard of the handled tubs are only some of the very many advanced and never-seen-before features of this machine and application.
